AutoCAD Platform – Multifunctional Grips

In this click saver I want to talk about the Multifunctional Grip options on the 2013 AutoCAD platform. In AutoCAD 2013, Multifunctional Grips exist on so many different objects that it is impossible to cover all of them in this article. Editing commands reside within the object which at the end of the day means less time searching for those tools.

Look for these great options to grips when using lines, polylines, arcs, elliptical arcs, dimensions, viewports, hatches and multileaders. Just hover over a grip to access numerous options when editing these objects. Remember if you ever start with the wrong grip option you can use the CTRL key to jump between the different options that are available.

Multifunctional grips are even more powerful when dynamic input is turned on. Use the Tab key to jump between input boxes so you can use the different input values for increased productivity.

Hope this helps in making quick edits and shows you the power in using grips on the AutoCAD platform. See you in class, Jarod
